Saddle up, partner and come on down to the Martinsville Firehouse this Saturday morning (April 20) from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. for breakfast. The Martinsville Saddle Club will be hosting their second annual breakfast to help raise funds for the season. Sausage links, biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs and drink will be available. Free Will Donations are accepted.
The Martinsville Saddle Club formed last year to try to spur local interest in equine activity. The fairgrounds received a grant last winter and the horse arena has been remodeled so-to-speak. Our goal is to try to utilize what we have right here in our own backyard. The shows we host are pretty laid back and a great opportunity for young and old, amateur and experienced, to come out and have a good time with their horse. There is always the possibility of winning a ribbon or prize too.
Our first scheduled horse show of the season is Sunday, June 2 at 1:00. We are hoping to have a group come out on June 9 for Horse Sorting, which I hear is really neat to watch. I'll provide more details on that later. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
See you on Saturday morning, bright and early (not before 7:01, please) for a yummy breakfast!
